Master Class In St. Augustine Two-CD Set

Description: On May 2, 2010, Janis gave a two-hour master class to wind up the St. Augustine Gamble Rogers Festival.
* This is a "home-grown" two-CD set, audio only, recorded live from the audience. Although audio engineer Eric Conn, who does all Janis' mastering, cleaned up and edited the audio for us, it is still not a "studio recording". In a run of 200, we have had one complaint about the audio, so we feel pretty confident about it. Still, we wanted you to know! By the wa, Eric actually had to keep stopping to replay portions of the class so he could study them! Big kudos to Joan Maute for recording this and making all these CD's. (By the way, Janis stuffed the CD holders herself....)
From Janis: I have a standing offer for master classes - whenever possible, I'll stay an extra day and do the class if you'll just cover my expenses. That's how important I think the passing on of this knowledge is. I bring every experience I've had as an artist to the table,and after 40 plus years, that's considerable! In all humility, I've been around some of the best, and retained a lot of it.
I particularly love doing master classes at festivals, because so many performers and writers attend. Even for me, this class was one of the best - I felt like the spirit of Stella was moving through me as I deconstructed "At 17" and talked about what it is to be true to your nature as an artist.
