Please read ALL of the instructions below! Digital songbooks are a very new piece of technology; apparently, a lot of people have trouble with the process and make mistakes. The mistakes all come from not reading the instructions below.

A new approach to sheet music distribution, the "FINB" digital songbook contains professionally transcribed lead sheets (supervised by Janis) to all the songs on the album. Guitar chords and fingerings, vocal parts, lyrics are here, as well as a wonderful foreword about the writing of these songs by Janis herself.
Songbooks of full albums are not commonly offered by independent artists any more because, frankly, they are just too expensive to print and distribute in the quantities necessary to make them cost effective; the typical price point for a nicely-done songbook runs $25.00 or more. In the same vein, there is no way for Janis to make back her investment in this digital songbook at this price; we would have to charge at least $30.00 per download for that to happen. However, Janis' main interest is that these songs be played, and performed, so she is taking the loss quite happily.
Janis is experimenting with electronic distribution in the hope that many people will download this songbook; if that happens, we'll be encouraged to offer songbooks of other albums as well.
When this item is purchased, the buyer will be provided a link to download a 25MB .pdf file containing the entire songbook, including front and back covers, Table of Contents, and foreword, as well as all the charts. The buyer can then print the file on their printer, view it on thier computer, or even take it to a print house for printing on high quality stock and binding.
Note! Facilities such as Kinko's may object to printing and/or binding this because of copyright protection concerns. We have included a permissions note on page 40.

Please order this item by itself and select one of the "postal" options (NOT UPS) for the shipping method. This will add a ten cent service charge and should be accurate. Place seperate orders for anything that will be be shipped to you; strange things may happen to your freight charges otherwise.
